Insight's store tours in Oslo, New York and Dublin this autumn

Insight are running three store tours for international retailers and suppliers this Autumn, each with a different theme: our Oslo tour this September will focus on electric vehicles, our New York tour in October will focus on innovation in food and technology and our Dublin tour in November will concentrate on award winning operational excellence. Keep reading for details on each.

EV Inspiration in Oslo, Norway, 11th –13th September

Norway is moving faster into electric vehicle adoption than any other country globally. In the first 3 months of 2018, 48% of new car registrations in Norway were either hybrid or electric vehicles. Global predictions on EV growth may be focusing too much on the predictable pace of national Governments and not enough on the likely impact city governments will have on the speed of change. In this context roadside retailers have to think carefully and positively about future strategy and Norway is the perfect global test lab for working out the right approach.

Our visit for international convenience and fuels retailers and suppliers offers a unique and interesting insight into the future impact this will have on service station retailing and the effective strategies that Norwegian operators are deploying. Confirmed visits so far include Circle K, 7 Eleven, Narvesen, Deli de Luca and the Norwegian EV Association. More details

Pre-NACS Show Food Inspiration in New York, 5th-7th October

For food focused ideas on the way to the NACS Show in Las Vegas, consider joining our group in New York City. NYC is home to some of the world’s most exciting and experimental food concepts, from a new generation of celebrity chef powered food halls, to a rise in plant based products and there’s much for the convenience industry to learn. It’s all about ‘pretty’ food, customisation, authenticity and provenance. New Yorkers want ‘snacks that give back!’

This year’s store safari will focus on the brands delivering this experience most successfully and also investigate the role technology is playing. Which ‘experiential’ stores are getting retail right? Equally, why have some failed? What does all this mean for the convenience sector? And what are fuel station foodvenience operators doing to keep pace with these opportunities in New Jersey? More details

Operational Inspiration in Dublin, Ireland, 13th-15th November.

Ireland is acknowledged as a global leader in convenience and fuels retail and is home to some of the most celebrated international industry operators including the 2018 NACS International Convenience Retailer of the Year Fresh - The Good Food Market.

There are very few better cities in the World to see world class convenience retail than Dublin and Ireland is home to a plethora of international award winning and highly commended retailers. Why not benchmark against the best and join our international group this Autumn?

Globally, in a huge transition, many convenience retailers have built food focused new store formats. But competition for the consumer on the move is hotting up and the industry is still struggling to create a reputation for freshness and quality enjoyed by businesses like Pret a Manger.

Our Dublin tour will explore how Irish entrepreneurs have managed to make a huge leap forward through a variety of innovative and inventive operational strategies in both city centre and roadside locations. Confirmed hosts include Fresh - the Good Food Market, Applegreen, Maxol and Musgrave Centra. More details.

Places are limited, please contact us to reserve a place for you and your team.
