“If you don’t take the time to get out of your business, you don’t take the time to grow your business.” So said Frank Gleeson, region managing director and COO of Aramark Ireland, at last year’s NACS Convenience Summit Europe. Quite simply, looking around—and looking around the world—helps innovative convenience retailers be even more successful.
Each year, more than 180 industry stakeholders from Brazil to Iceland to Australia to Thailand join their peers at the NACS Convenience Summit Europe to gain new ideas, network and discover new solutions and innovations that are driving the global convenience retail market.
This June, convenience and fuel retailing professionals will convene in Warsaw, Poland and London, England to unearth knowledge, build commercial connections, and discover and discuss new ideas from retail store tours in both cities. The dynamic event will also feature the popular International Convenience Retail Awards—now in its 10th year, which recognize and promote convenience retailing excellence throughout Europe and around the world.
The NACS European Convenience Retail Awards is a high point for retailers, industry experts and suppliers who gather in June at the NACS Convenience Summit Europe to recognise and celebrate industry success and innovation. The awards provide one of the greatest benchmarks of global convenience retailing excellence. Over the years, entrants from multiple European countries and diverse types of convenience format and company sizes have participated—and won!—including Applegreen, Topaz, SPAR Gran Canaria and Lekkerland.
Award categories include International Convenience Retailer of the Year, European Convenience Industry Leader of the Year (sponsored by Mondelez), European Convenience Retail Sustainability Award (sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company) and European Convenience Retail Technology Award (sponsored by Verifone).
Does your company have what it takes to be one of the world’s best? Enter the awards program today and find out. Either way, you can celebrate with us—and the leadership of the most innovative convenience retailers across the globe—at the awards dinner on 6 June 2018.

Also consider joining us in Warsaw on 3-5 June for the first few days of NACS Convenience Summit Europe as we explore high level European retail thought leadership, strategy, trends and economics. Supplier hosted dinners, sightseeing and store visits will connect you with attendees from around the globe and show you what is new in convenience retailing.
The event’s main conference days will take place in London on 6-8 June. This is the main ‘must attend event’ for the European and international industry with retailer roundtables, international best practice presentations on key trends/developments in the global industry, retailer case studies and our famous awards night programme.
